The number of cruise ships docking in the port of Civitavecchia, the port of Rome, is increasing rapidly and many cruisers don't want to miss the opportunity of visiting Rome in limo. The distance between the port of Roma Civitavecchia and the Eternal City is in fact about 80 kms and the drive to Rome is approximately one hour and a quarter. If your cruise ends in Civitavecchia usually there are two options. If your flight leaves early it is mandatory a transfer from the port of Rome to an hotel in Rome and then, usually the next day, a transfer from Rome to Fiumicino airport. If your flight leaves three or more hours after the time you can exit the cruise ship then it is possible to do a transfer from the port of Civitavecchia to Rome airport (Leonardo da Vinci airport).
